The road that lies ahead
GM Toreignals,Kavalry and all those that have been helping us during the Incentivized Testnet Campaing. With over 3000 entrants and 10.000+ submissions, we’ve been overwhelmed by the support & feedback that we got.

What we’ve learned
The #1 thing we got back from our testers was that the KAVA Tesnet RPC response is sometimes low, impacting the responsiveness of the Toreus platform; we’re looking into creating our own RPC on mainnet if the performance on mainnet is impacting Toreus.
This is a result of the success of the testnet campaign. Clearly the infrastructure on Testnet was not able to accomodate all of you at the same time, but we are confident these issues won’t come up on Kava mainnet.
And also the faucet, where you have to manually convert your amount to be minted from WEI/GWEI to Ether amounts, by supplying additional ‘Decimals’, appeared to be tricky for some of you. Luckily there is a community growing and helping eachother out where they can.
There where a lot of screenshots shared with us, together with some awesome bug reports. We’ve identified 5 critical issues thanks to you guys, and they are being worked on by our Frontend developper, to be ready for the mainnet launch.
Lastly, we see that the last 2 quests, Getting TORE from vesting rewards and claiming early exit + staking and locking TORE, has saw quite some difficulties. The staking UI would often be locked to people who did have TORE in their wallet, or people where unable to accrue enough TORE rewards from their deposits to begin with.
Our devs have worked on fixing the staking/locking issues and just 1 issue remains to be resolved in the next week. Not all of the issues are blocking for a mainnet deploy, so expect some UI changes and improvements to be done after we’ve done the mainnet deploy.
Regarding the airdrop allocations. As stated before, 300.000 $TORE will be airdropped amongst are Crew3 contendors, and we’ll be doing a weightened airdrop. The more XP you have, the bigger the allocation will be. We expect the airdrop to be done after mainnet deploy, but more details on how and when to claim will be shared on a later date.
Road to Mainnet
With a sucesfull testnet campaign now completed, the Toreus team can now focus on the Mainnet deploy. We’ll keep you updated through our socials (links below), but you can expect an update from us during next week regarding this.
The testnet and application will continue to run while we make the last changes to the app. You’re welcome to keep interacting with the protocol to learn more about lending and borrowing @ Toreus.
Our mods have been working overtime with reviewing the tens of thousands Quests that where completed, so giving them a weekend off is vital for to keep the team focused towards the Mainnet release.
We’ll continue to add Quests to Crew3, which will count towards your Airdrop, in the weeks leading up to the mainnet launch. You can follow the #crew3 channel in Discord to see if and when new Quests will be released.
